Thrift Store Volunteers - Ongoing Opportunities
For the Love of Thrifting is always looking for volunteers for retail shifts and for the sorting and storing of donated clothing and home decor. The Gathering
Our next Gathering is November 21st!
The Gathering is an event focused on fulfilling the needs of those looking to connect with community, have a feeling of belonging, and meet a loving God.
By attending this FREE event, you’ll have the opportunity to:
+ Connect with others we serve, building a community of friendship
+ Enjoy encouraging messages and life stories
+ Enjoy live music and a meal, bonding with the families we serve
+ Enjoy a kids zone where your children can meet new friends & have a little fun
Join us November 21st from 6-7:30 at Chuck Bailey Recreation Centre to feel a renewed connection to your community.

Christmas Project 2024!
CHRISTMAS PROJECT 2024!
It is time again to plan for our annual Christmas Project.
This year we will be packing and wrapping 2,500 gift boxes and
400 food hampers for our adopted schools.
This will take an army of volunteers!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:
#1 – LOAD THE TRUCKS
Friday, December 6 – 1 session
9am – 11am
Location: City Dream Centre offices and warehouse - #29 – 19257 Enterprise Way Surrey
Limited parking on site so please use street parking
#2 – CHRISTMAS GIFT BOX PACKING
Saturday, December 07 – 4 sessions:
Location: North Surrey High School – 15945 96th Avenue, Surrey
SESSION #1 LOAD IN AND SET UP
8:00 a.m. until finished (approx. 4 hours). For safety reasons this is most appropriate for adults and/or teens.
SESSION #2 GIFT BOX PACKING
2 p.m. until finished (2-3 hours). Adults, teens and children are welcome. All children must be supervised by an adult.
SESSION #3 BUILDING THE PALLETS
2 p.m. until finished (3 – 5 hours). This is a physical task, appropriate for volunteers who can easily lift and bend down. For safety reasons, this task is not appropriate for children.
SESSION #4 TEAR DOWN AND CLEAN UP
4 p.m. until finished (approximately 1 hour). Adults, teens and children are welcome. All children need to be supervised by an adult.
#3 – CHRISTMAS HAMPER PACKING
Monday, December 16 – 5 sessions:
Location: Sonrise Church – 5588 188th Street, Surrey
SESSION #1 LOAD IN
10 a.m. until finished (1-2 hours). This is a physical task and for safety reasons it is most appropriate for adults and/or teens.
SESSION #2 SET UP
1 p.m. until finished (1-2 hours) – Adults, teens and children welcome.
SESSION #3 HAMPER ASSEMBLY
6:30 p.m. until finished – Adults, teens and children welcome. Children will need to be working with an adult to ensure that the hampers are carefully packed.
SESSION #4 – LOADING VEHICLES FOR HAMPER DELIVERIES
Dec. 17 9am – 12noon
SESSION #5 – CLEAN UP OF PACKING VENUE
Dec 17 – 1 – 3pm
#4 – BAKING – Monday, December 16 – DROP OFF BETWEEN 9 a.m. AND 5 p.m.
Location: Sonrise Church – 5588 188th Street, Surrey
Home baking is a special addition in the Christmas hampers. We hope to include one dozen cookies or squares to each hamper. That means we need 400 packaged dozens of cookies or bars. If you would like to help, please let us know and please include how many dozens you are able to donate. This is a great activity for community groups or families!

will receive these blessings.
